Abdo Kattan, O.D.

Dr. Abdo Kattan is an experienced optometrist with more than three decades of clinical experience practicing across Spain, Lebanon, and Canada. He graduated as a Doctor of Optometry and Ocular Science in 1992 from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain, and later earned his Master’s degree in Advanced Optometry and Vision Therapy from Centro Boston de Optometría in Madrid, Spain in 1998. Dr. Kattan has also completed numerous continuing education courses and seminars to remain at the forefront of modern eye care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kattan has focused on delivering comprehensive family vision care, including pediatric eye care, vision therapy, specialty contact lens fittings, and low-vision aids. With a strong interest in advanced technology and innovation, he also provides modern treatments for conditions such as dry eye disease, myopia management, and complex contact lens cases.

Since 2009, Dr. Kattan has been the owner and optometrist at I-Care Family Vision & Eyecare, where he has built a reputation for combining advanced diagnostic technology with a personalized, patient-centered approach to care. His philosophy emphasizes integrity, education, and building lasting relationships with patients.

Dr. Kattan is a proud member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Alberta College of Optometrists. He speaks English, Arabic, Spanish, and Catalan, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient community.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kattan has been married for over 20 years and is the proud father of four children: Omar, Leila, Jenna, and Aminah.
